Position Overview
As a compassionate caregiver in our nursing home, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to provide assistance and support to elderly patients with daily living activities under the supervision of nursing staff. This position requires a dedicated individual who possesses a genuine interest in geriatric care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help residents with daily activities such as eating, walking, and socializing.
- Monitor residents’ physical and emotional needs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Participate in the resident activities program and encourage participation in social events.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
- Document care provided to residents accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Nursing Assistant certification or relevant experience preferred.
- Prior experience in caregiving or nursing home job positions highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with elderly individuals.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor; genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for residents.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by the healthcare industry.
