Position Overview: Deckhand
As a Deckhand, you will play a vital role in the operation of our yachts, contributing to the safety and enjoyment of our guests. This position is perfect for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are looking for a flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of the yacht before each charter, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during charters.
- Assist with loading and unloading of guests and their belongings.
- Help set up catering and refreshments for guests.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing information and answering any questions.
- Participate in ongoing training on yacht operations and safety procedures.
- Maintain the functionality of the vessel including cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
- Assist the Captain with navigation as required.
- Support the team in delivering a high-quality guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or marine industry is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of sailing and water sports is preferred.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items when necessary.
