Position Overview

The Part-Time Care Assistant will play a vital role in providing high-quality care for residents in our care facility. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to support senior citizens, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging them in meaningful conversation and activities.
  • Monitor and document changes in residents’ health or well-being and communicate these to nursing staff.
  • Support residents in participating in recreational activities and outings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards set forth by Bonefish Charters and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to connect with and report to residents, families, and team members.
  • Compassionate, patient, and able to handle sensitive situations with dignity and respect.
  • Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting and transferring patients safely.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
