About the Job
We are excited to announce a survey department job vacancy for a meticulous and detail-oriented Survey Technician. This integral position is vital to our operations as it ensures our projects are based on accurate and efficient surveying methods and data. As the Survey Technician, you will work closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure precision in project execution from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys for construction projects, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and standards.
- Utilize state-of-the-art surveying equipment and technology to gather accurate measurements.
- Analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external use.
- Coordinate with various teams to integrate survey information into project timelines and workflows.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documentation related to property surveys.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in site visits and field assessments to gather first-hand information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Survey Technician or in a similar role.
- Technical diploma or degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Proficient in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS systems, and drones.
- Strong knowledge of surveying software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
